TeamTrox-Banking Shots for Dedrick's

I'll be honest, for both Mike and I not having easy access to Dedrick's Farm Market—both inside The Pantry and outside in the greenhouse—will add a bit of a challenge to our roles as their website and Social Media managers. Let's face it, whether it's setting up shots of the amazing baked goods from The Pantry or scurrying around the greenhouse as it begins to burst at the seams with gorgeous plants, this sweet spot in Dryden, NY is a feast for the senses in every way.

It's always exciting as we head towards Mother's Day, the day most gardeners and plant enthusiasts around Central New York feel marks the first real day of "the season". That said, we've never seen the greenhouse more dazzling than this week. The photos that were shot on Monday are filled with light because the sun was blazing down on very grateful New Yorkers. But you'd be mistaken for thinking that the overcast day that followed disappointed us as far as aesthetics. On the contrary, shooting in this greenhouse on an moderately overcast day makes it one giant soft box!

It's really tough to chose only a few photos to feature here, but you can see many more in the galleries on the Dedrick's website on the Greenhouse page!

With their exotic shapes, jewel-toned colors and gracefully draping habit, Fuschia's are ALWAYS fun to shoot. The subdued lighting from the overcast sky allowed Mike to shoot the Fuschia's from below without bright sunlight overwhelming the shot.

Columbines are another flower that offer striking structure as well as color! Besides this traditional bluish-purple and white specimen, we also saw "cream on cream" and crimson Columbines!

In addition to baskets and bedding plants, you can also find some garden art pieces like this bocadious bunny!

Don't be fooled into thinking that it takes blossoms to be beautiful...check out the succulents! You can find an entire universe in the succulent section!

Don't be shy, stop by the greenhouse at Dedrick's and stop by often because this time of year new plants are arriving weekly! For more examples of TeamTrox photography head over to the TroxlerMultiMedia website!
