Who's Hot at Canadian Nationals?

Who's hot at Canadian Nationals? Everyone! The high temperature today in Brandon was 99 degrees. But the good news is that the predicted temperature tomorrow is 73!

The morning was devoted to Trail and Reining Semi final rounds. Following that, the first National Championships of the 2018 Canadian Nationals were awarded in the Westoba Ag Centre arena, with Brooke Backlund winning the Showmanship 14-18 with Little Jack Sprat, owned by Jessica Daudt English. Quickly tacking up directly after the showmanship class, Jack and Jessica then took a Top Ten out of a really nice class of Adult Horsemanship riders! Winning that Adult Horsemanship class was a familiar face on a new horse! Last year Michelle Pease Paulson took home the roses with Okies Paulina PGA, and she repeated the win with her talented five year old SS A Noble Star.

Tomorrow morning the action starts at 8a in the Westoba Ag Centre ring with Showmanship 13 & Under and Western Horsemanship 18 & Under, follwed by JTR and ATR Reining Semi-Finals. The classes in Westoba place start at 8:30 leading off with HA/AA Gelding In Hand AAOTH.
