Willow & Delaney Haight

I’m so proud of what trainers Jim and Linda Hitt from Gambel Oaks Equestrian Center have accomplished with “Willow” (WGA Docs Willowmena +//). Back in 2012—when Willow and her little brother Jinx (WGA Ima Copy Katnic+//) went to Jim and Linda— we were confident that they were the ideal trainers for these youngsters but even we couldn’t have foreseen the kind of accomplishments they would achieve!

Dave and Deanna Glasl became Willow’s owners in 2013 and in 2018 it was Jim Hitt that introduced Delaney Haight to Willow. The end result, the Haight’s leased Willow and began what has become a 4 year relationship. They started out at the Colorado Arabian Horse Club local shows, and even that first year they were showing signs that Trail and Horsemanship would be their forte winning Championships at Region 8 and Region 6. In May of 2020 Delaney officially became a part owner of Willow.

The 2021 Youth Nationals marks their third and final Youth Nationals and they did it in fine fashion winning three National Championships (two in Western Trail and one in English) and a Top Ten in Western Horsemanship and Showmanship.

Thanks so much to everyone that made this possible— Mr. Bradley Herman who was responsible for acquiring her dam for the WGA Equine program, Jim and Linda Hitt who took us at our word when we told them we had a couple of young Half Arabians with tons of potential, Dave and Deanna Glasl for starting her on her career and sharing her with Delaney, and the Haight family for continuing the story. Well Done!
