Debuting at Central Park-Kelly and Buzzz

Buzzz, the dynamic chestnut gelding with the super cool name, is no stranger to top level competition and he seems to specialize in starting aspiring young riders on their way to the winners circle. This 15 year old son of Apollopalooza (and out of the mare Nitemotion) has carried multiple young riders to National ribbons in the English Pleasure 13 & Under division. In 2015 he even won a National Top Ten in English Pleasure with an Adult Amateur rider at US Nationals AND a Top Ten in walk-trot mount at Youth Nationals.

Buzz currently calls Travelda Farms in Pennsylvania home. Owner Kelly Burland says, "We have been involved in the Arabian horse industry as owners, breeders and competitors for several decades. Early last fall we decided that we wanted to expand our farm's involvement in the industry by starting a lesson program. I have always loved Buzzz, so when he came up for sale in May, we decided to purchase him for our riding program. He has been a great addition and an amazing ambassaor for the breed. We use him for advanced lessons and even let some beginners take him for a lesson in the round pen. He loves to show and show off! I don't think he realizes he's 15 years old. He is definitely more of a sit back and let him do his thing kind of show horse. He knows his job well and is happy to perform!

Last October we officially launched Travelda Riding Academy and we went from having my daughter's pony and no lessons- to a full program that teaches around 50 adults and kids a week-in under a year. We currently have a wonderful string of 7 lesson horses and almost all of them are either purebred or half-arabian. These horses are the foundation of our program and can safely teach riders of all ages and abilities. We are super excited to have some lesson students looking to purchase their first horse this fall! It's a great place to bring clients to experience a fun horse show in a historic venue. We're excited for everyone to have a good time!"

"The show is so close to our farm and we have several clients from NYC and have several lesson students from the program coming to cheer him on!"
